The Day the Earth Stood Still: This is a trailor from the 1951 movie from 20th Century Fox directed by Robert Wise. It stars Michael Rennie, Patrcia Neal and Hugh Marlowe. You may recognize Patricia from one of the later spin-offs of the original Star Trek series. I've seen this movie several times, years after it was originally seen in theatres and then on DVD. There is a message here, perhaps several, but the main one is that we had better treat each other with greater respect and kindness than we do or if we expand into outer space with these current attitudes other races may snuff us out in their self-defense, if we haven't made this lovely planet Earth uninhabitable through our greed for money and power beforehand.
