back to work!

I'm heading back to work this morning. In fact, i'll be out the door in a few minuted and on my way to the bus stop and the train. This has been after a month of recovery after suffering a mini-stroke early in May. It does help to keep in shape! All this helps the recovery in the long run. Have a great day, guys! - V

I hope all went well.

All is well so far as far as work is concerned, nothing too stressful! I had an appointment with a specialist that deals with blood pressure issues. There's another CAT scan to be done with in the next two months plus some more blood work. The latter never seems to end. The purpose of the scan is to look at the blood flow in the kidneys. If that's good, nothing further will be done. If not, we'll see what's done next. I do know I have a kidney stone!

I hope all's well with you? - V

Very sorry to hear of your illness. How are you feeling now, how is the recovery going?

I'm much better than I was a month ago when I couldn't walk a straight line and taking a shower was a challenge! I completed my first week of work without issues. Its amazing how a mini-stroke can effect us. In this case, it was motor skills and a weakness on the left side. Thankfully it wasn't a massive stroke or things would have been quite different!

As it was, the recovery went well and no re-hab was necessary, though it was there if I needed it. I worked on recovering the motor skills myself though it took quite a bit of focus in the beginning to make it all work! - V

You seem pretty upbeat about it, I am glad to see it hasn't broken you and you are still optimistic.

I know a lot of people would probably have gone in the other direction.

I'm an optimist by nature, so this has probably helped a lot.

A specialist is looking into what has caused my high blood pressure and the resulting stroke. It took about a year the last time I had this problem with high blood pressure (2006-2007). It turned out to be a parasite that time and once it was cleared from the intestinal tract, the blood pressure came down rather quickly! - V

I don't mind answering questions on this since it'll likely help others that are dealing with the same issues! - V
