Here is a video clip from the 1951 movie, The Day the Earth Stood Still. As a race, it does have a very important message as I mentioned in the previous post. We must be less reactionary and fearful of what we do not know, think things through rationally, with logic, and then proceed to from a full understanding of the situation before taking action. This applies as much with our relations with our fellow mankind as it does with Star races from elsewhere in our universe. - Volker

The Day the Earth Stood Still: This is a trailor from the 1951 movie from 20th Century Fox directed by Robert Wise. It stars Michael Rennie, Patrcia Neal and Hugh Marlowe. You may recognize Patricia from one of the later spin-offs of the original Star Trek series. I've seen this movie several times, years after it was originally seen in theatres and then on DVD. There is a message here, perhaps several, but the main one is that we had better treat each other with greater respect and kindness than we do or if we expand into outer space with these current attitudes other races may snuff us out in their self-defense, if we haven't made this lovely planet Earth uninhabitable through our greed for money and power beforehand.
