Happy 2012!

Happy New Year everyone!  Have a happy, healthy and prosperous 2012!  With good health we can do all the other things that we want to do but without that important element life is a challenge.  It can be anyways but even more so without your health in order.

Enjoy the start to the year.  I usually start by cleaning up.  Laundry is the first on the list, so I'll be getting to that shortly.  What do you do to start of a new year?  Take care, guys! - V

New years thoughts

Right now I'm finishing up a bottle of French sparkling white wine, Veuve du Vernay, but if I had my boyfriend by my side or I was at his,it would be a case of us sharing the same, and I have a bottle of Spanish white to share as well (not even opened).  My thoughts are on Brad at the moment and I hope all is well, both for him and who he's with.

I am looking at properties in Nova Scotia at the moment (onlline). Once my debts are paid off there is money to invest and what better way to invest than in property that we can both benefit from.  Since the money that I came out here with is gone due to health issues, there are adjustments necessary.  Life is full of this!  Land prices here in British Columbia are insanely expensive, so the funds will stretch further back east than they will here.  I am looking at retirement and those years are not that far away.  Moving east to the Maritimes would be like a new adventure.  I'm still not to old for that nor is Brad by any stretch of the imagination.

Have a happy, healthy and safe celebration and all the best for 2012!  - V

New Years Eve

New Years Eve is fast approaching as is 2012 and all it has to offer.  Currently, its just past 1 pm here on Canada's west coast.  There is light snow falling which is melting on contact with the ground.  The ground is still too ward to have the snow stay, until in higher elevations such as the mountains.

I am planning to make a light lunch shortly but this evening it'll be a quiet, restful evening with some pizza and a bottle of French sparkling white wine (Veuve du Vernay) stretched out over several hours.

Most of the Christmas decorations have been put away though I have left a little out, something cheery and uplifting to start off the new year.

Have a safe and fun evening for those that are yet to celebrate, and for those that have, may you have a happy, healthy and prosperous 2012!  There will be more later...  - V

naked truth

There are times when you're caught in the act and no longer care. The truth about how you feel is all that matters, like bonding with your buddies! I hope you're able to come to grips with the truth of what you're all about this year as you continue your journey through life. There are those times when the truth can no longer be hidden, and why should it? Have you got some resolutions set for 2011 and how did those from last year pan out??? Happy 2011, guys!!! - V

year ending soon!

So, the year is fast coming to a close. I'm off to work shortly but it will be dead by mid-afternoon as businesses close early in preparation for new year's eve. Did you successfully complete all your resolutions for 2010 or will you have to give some of them another shot in 2011? More on all that later but for now, we'll end 2010 with Adam above! Be safe and enjoy yourselves!!! - V

Happy 2010!

Happy New Year! I hope you all had an awesome festive season and that now that 2010 has started, that it started off right for you. Let's see how this year turns out. Last year was interesting enough!

Well, as far as I can tell, Brad is a very busy fellow. I don't know how he does it but he has my admiration and respect, aside from the love I've always felt for him, as I would any close friend or relative. I see him busy all day, 7 days a week, so I can see why it might be difficult to keep in contact for the moment but I know he wants too, just time is a factor. To take full advantage of the opportunities that abound and live on the east coast is quite something. There's more to choose from these days than when I was growing up. This could mean stress but it doesn't have to be that way, eventhough having less to choose from makes life simple, having less could also be boring. So, Brad loves the excitement and he's certainly got that. I'm in his corner all the way regardless and I told him so. He's also a profound, talented writer in his own right and I'm looking forward to more of his posts once he's ready, looking forward as we all are!

The last time I heard from Brad was just before Christmas when I sent him my Christmas wishes and got a quick reply from a party he was at. I know he wants to chat online but I can see time as being an issue. This certainly doesn't mean that I'm not on his mind. We will see what develops.

In the meantime, my first blog, HALIAEETUS, has had a name change to VOLKER'S PHOTO BLOG. I made a few changes Friday evening to that blog and the photo journal that Brad and I share (sorry, its still restricted to the two of us). This blog may undergo a name change as well but I'm waiting for Brad's input before proceeding. Meantime, the new website is delayed a bit but this will proceed this month despite of the delays. More on all that later.

Meantime, have a happy, healthy and rewarding 2010! - V.

Happy New Year!!!

Happy New Year! I slept in this morning until about 10 am and it felt good to have a full night's sleep as I normally get up about 5 am each workday morning. Obviously, today is a day off but I'm back to work tomorrow, Friday, getting up at the usual time.

We had some more snow over night, so this was the scene looking out of my bedroom window this morning (see pic above). I've read my emails and such. Now that I've done that, I'll take a shower and start my day. I guess it'll be lunch before I eat anything! Have a great day and an even greater year, 2009! More later.
