Lauterbrunnental

Another destination during my 1972 summer trip to Europe was the Berner Oberland in central Switzerland. In this photo you see the village of Lauterbrunnen and the Staubbach falls cascading down the high cliff along the west side of the valley (Lauterbrunnental). There'll be more photos when I've scanned and edited them. This is the time when my interest in mountains started. Check out my photo blog for a detailed post soon. Meantime, enjoy this photo! - V

mountain view

This is a view of a valley in the Bernese Oberland of central Switzerland, Lauterbrunnental! The photographer's shot looks at this valley from a mountain called Maennlichen. I'll have more to say about this valley that I visited during my first trip back to Europe and why it caught my attention. The photo is from Wikipedia Commons (details coming). Google Lauterbrunnen Valley to find out more!!! - V
