buzz

Early this afternoon I found myself at the Davie Village Community Garden in Vancouver's West End. The garden was abuzz with activity as you can see by this photo of a bumblebee at a Spanish lavender flower! - V

Bright colours

There is nothing like bright colours to perk one up! This bumblebee (Bombus ssp.) is doing what comes natural, collecting nectar to make honey for the young! This photo is one of a series I took at the rose garden at Vancouver's Stanley Park last Sunday. The plantings are different than last years but interesting as usual plus I've long been fascinated by bees and butterflies of all sorts, even dragonflies! Enjoy the colour!!!

Meantime, it appears Brad has resumed his journey across Canada. His sleek car should make the trip fast enough. Its a hot car for a really hot dude! More news coming. Have a great weekend and enjoy the weather! I know I will. - Volker
