Immanuel Velikovsky: The Bonds of the Past. - In his 1950s book, "Worlds in Collision", Velikovsky proposed that many myths and legends of ancient peoples and cultures are based upon a worldwide catastrophe of celestial origin which have had an effect on the lives, beliefs and writings of early mankind.
