horoscope (gemini)

I don't want out leave Brad out of the picture as far as a horoscope reading is concerned. He's a Gemini, so here's the entry for the same week as the Leo entry given a few days ago.

Gemini (May 21 - June 20)

Primatologist Jane Goodall, who lived for years among chimpanzees in Tanzania, is one of the world's top experts on the creatures. Can you guess what her favorite toy was when she was young? A stuffed monkey, of course. There were no doubt foreshadowings like that in your own childhood or adolescence, Gemini. Right? Signs of the magic you would eventually seek to ripen? Seeds of destiny that had just begun to sprout? Now would be a good time to reflect in those early hints. You'll benefit from updating your understanding of and commitment to the capacities they revealed.

(From: Free Will Astrology - week of June 9)

Interestingly, I have a few Gemini aspects in my natal chart. When I was a young child, I too had a stuffed monkey as a toy and have the photos to prove it! There are two images of such. - V

horoscope (leo)

I read this interesting entry in Free Will Astrology for the week of June 9

Leo (July 23-Aug22):

I dreamed you had been tending an unusual garden for months. Your crops weren't herbs or flowers or vegetables, but rather miniature volcanoes. Each was no ripe and stood about waist-high. They erupted with a steady flow of liquid blue fire that you were harvesting in large gold, Grail-like cups. Apparently this stuff was not only safe to drink but profoundly energizing. You sipped some of the potion yourself and distributed the rest to a large gathering of enthusiastic people who had come to imbibe your tasty medicine. The mood was festive, and you were radiant. This dream of mine is a good metaphor for your life in the immediate future.

Horoscope for Gemini and Leo

Well, today, Monday, May 12th (what is left of it) had some interesting horoscope predictions for Gemini (Brad) and Leo (Volker) in the 24hrs,ca and Metro newspapers (they're free). Here go the predictions, starting with Gemini (24hrs and then Metro):

Gemini (May 21 - June 20)

"Put your dreams into motion. If you hook up with others that have your best interests at heart, you can make those dreams come true." (24hrs.ca)

"A comedian demands to have a private place. An official suggests a career shift. A supporter is a true friend to you." (Metro)

Leo (July 23 - August 22)

"You may be briefly conflicted about issues involving trust and compassion. As long as you honour your promisses and don't act upon your doubts everything will resolve happily." (24hrs.ca)

"A unique situation will have unexpected benefits. Take care of someone who is worn out. An issue will be resolved to your satisfaction." (Metro)

So, you decide whether to believe or not. It's interesting to spectulate just the same. As I once mentioned, a natal chart would be better, like a road map of obsticles ahead. Food for thought! - Volker

Horoscope for the 16th

There were a couple of interesting horoscopes in yesterday's 24HRS newspaper but like all of them, they are rather general and could apply to almost anyone. They are mostly common sense predictions. Below are two, one for Gemini and the other for Leo.

Gemini (May 21-June 20)
"Clear your mind and the rest will follow. Remain attuned to tasks at hand and move forward toward making fond dreams a reality." Brad is a Gemini!

Leo (July 23-Aug.22)
"Honesty is the best policy. You may want to just blend into the crowd, but do not pretend to be less than you really are." I'm a Leo!

Anyway, good for thought. - Volker

More on horoscopes

Last week the weekly paper called the West End [WE] had an interesting horoscope prediction for the week of April 3-9/2008 [Free Will Astrology].

Leo (July 23-Aug.22)
The feats you're pulling off may not appear spectacular to a casual observer. But in my view, they are some of the most interesting accomplishments you've enjoyed in a while. Here's a brief a brief description of some of your subtly glorious break-throughs: 1. You've made yourself less susceptible to being manipulated by guilt or pushed around by bullies, 2. You're getting smarter about how you treat the people and things you love, 3. You're at the peak of your ability to discern the difference between rash risks motivated by fear and smart gambles driven by authentic intuition.

In general these could apply to anyone and is why I would prefer drawing up a natal chart based upon the place, date and time of birth rather than the generalities presented in daily or weekly horoscopes. My own birth date is August 14th born at 7:10 pm in Bruchsal, Germany. The book that I used to draw up my chart (and the chart itself) is in storage until the end of the month. When my belonging come out of storage, I plan to review my own chart and draw one up for my friend Brad, who is a Gemini and born June 17th (May 21-June 20). Since he is born in the cusp, the sign Cancer (June 21-July 22) has influence. However, a natal chart is like a blue print or map of what is ahead in life. Obsticles can be overcome and predictions are based upon current human actions. Changes in these actions may change the outcome for the future. Also, personal predictions have greater leaway than say those for the collective, or humans beings in general.

I would like to hear from Brad and then find out more particulars on him for drawing up a natal chart. More on this subject later. Feel free to comment. - Volker

Horoscope

Today (Monday) was a dull, rainy, overcast day, a typical day in Vancouver during the winter months. A good things is that the daylight hours are getting longer, the rain less frequent and the temperatures warmer. As signs of spring go, various spring flowers are in bloom such as the snowdrops and crocuses, even some daffodils in places. We have something to look forward to but are mindful that the rest of Canada is still deep in the throws of winter.

While on an afternoon break at work, I was looking at the newspaper (The Province) when the current day's horoscope caught my attention. Since I'm a Leo, I had a look at the entry that pertained to that sign in today's paper (March 3rd).

Leo (July 23 - August 22)

You're keen to experience life at a deeper level. You don't want to merely talk about it or observe it. You want to live it fully! You want to reach out like Keats and grab life fully with both hands. "Beauty is truth, truth is beauty - that is all ye know on Earth, and all ye need to know."

What do you think? I tried to have a look at the Gemini entry but someone had cut out something on the next page, so a large part of that entry was missing. My friend Brad is a Gemini, the young salty is am referring to in the blog header description. He's also my co-author, so we hope to hear plenty from Brad over time. There are no accidents in life for all has meaning and a reason for being so. Any thoughts on this from your own perspective?

On another matter, working as a concierge at an administrative centre has its excitement and boring periods when very little happens. Most of the day is spent signing in visitors, issuing cards to visitors and also employees who've forgotten their own cards. There is accepting mail and sending it out plus other duties. It's mostly dull, routine stuff really with a few interesting moments (99 % dull, 1% excitement, and not always of the good kind). More to say on my life, my interests, interactions with others and the adventure to come in forthcoming posts but this is a start.

Not much of a post but a start for this new blog about the experiences, thoughts, perspectives and such of two friends. We're due to learn plenty about each other, ourselves and how others feel about us in the process. Perhaps you'll even learn something about yourselves too! Surely this will enrichs each of us and others as well. There will be a few photos thrown in from time to time to keep it interesting. Feel free to comment when the mood strikes!
