Thanks for the photos, Volker.
I used to live in Vancouver, I loved the city, I thought I would never leave. Now I am in Victoria which I used to dislike, but I still love my old city, so thanks for the trips down memory lane.
BTW I lived for a number of years in Toronto. You cannot compare the two cities Toronto and Vancouver, each has it's virtues, but Vancouver has my heart.

Thanks! I lived in southern Ontario for most of my life which included six years in Toronto and area, so I too can compare the virtues of both. There'll be more photos (and commentary) very soon. The trails of Hollyburn Mountain are the focus today, another beautiful, sunny day in the Vancouver area! - V.

Well the parade has come and gone and so has the hang over. For 24 years I grew up at the base of Burnaby Mtn. I have hiked, biked, and rode 'dune' buggies up that Mtn so many times as a kid in the 70's. It was a BLAST and the best part of my childhood. I was too young to drive the roads but I can visualize the front tire bobbing and weaving around boulders, mud pits and the occasional bush. My dad was a bit of a maniac but that's the fun of it I guess.
Thanks for the memories!!
