I bought a couple of bottles of white wine on Friday evening. One was a German Riesling by Deinhard. The other was a French white, Cotes du Rhone - Heritages - from a mix of grapes, such as white grenache and vognier typical for the region of southern France but there are others included. Unfortunately the cork on the second bottle cracked in half as I was pulling it out of the bottle (too dry). Unlike Ontario, here they don't store the bottles on their sides to keep the cork well lubricated. For years bottles used to be stored upright but they got wise back east, a good thing!
