While we're on the subject of cats, the European Lynx (Lynx lynx) has been reintroduced to the Harz Mountain region of north central Germany. Here's a lovely photo of this beautiful feline from Wikipedia. I guess I won't have to tell you why it went extinct in central Europe in the first place? Do a Google search and check it out! - V.
