On my way home this evening I finally got around to purchasing a photo scanner which also happened to be on sale! I bought an
Epson Perfection V500 Photo Scanner. I plan to set it up over the weekend and then do a few test scans using some photos I have accumulated over the past 40 or so years. Remember I started taking photos at around age 10 in the early 1960s. The best results will be posted. That's the plan anyway and some from the trip to
Europe in 1972 will be one of the first to be posted, especially for Brad's sake. I think he should find those images quite interesting! Look for some awesome shots! - V

Howzit; Although I run over 12 blogs, I started one for the World Cup football in outh Africa earlier this year and after the World Cup turned it into my personal blog.. so now I'm finding old pics and slowly scanning them and putting them on my blog in date order so that when I am done you will be able to go back and see the baby lol and pics from my youth. Great idea.

I only have five blogs but this one and another are the ones that get updated the most.
The scanner is still sitting in its box as I continue to work on the hard drive to clean up the files and such before installing the new software. Once all that is done, I'll begin scanning and everyone will see the results as I post some of the older photos.
Time is an issue, actually there's not enough of it. During the week I have limited time at the computer in the morning and again in the evening. I'm working full-time and then there's the travel time to and from work, breakfast before heading out in the morning and supper when I return home. There's a larger block of time available on the weekends and that's when I get the most done, including getting out on shoots. Its even great on rainy days working on stuff that needs doing indoors.
The older photos aren't doing much good sitting in a box, so scanning them so others can enjoy them to makes a lot of sense to me.
The weather here at the moment: a high of 8 degrees Celsius and rainy in the valley with snow in the mountains! Colder weather this weekend may see more sunshine! Since its summer in South Africa, your weather is a lot better than ours. Thanks for taking the time to comment!!!
